Friendship Foundation Host 4th Annual Vision & Values Awards
ROANOKE, VA – Friendship celebrated the outstanding contributions of three exceptional individuals at its annual Vision & Values Awards ceremony. Held at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, the event recognized the Rev. Adrian E. Dowell, Ms. Annette Lewis, and Mr. John B. Williamson, III for their unwavering commitment to serving the Roanoke Valley community.
“These honorees embody the values of accountability, compassion, positivity, respect, and teamwork that are at the core of Friendship’s mission,” said Joe Hoff, President and CEO of Friendship.“ Their dedication to uplifting others has made a significant impact on our community, and we are honored to recognize their achievements.”
The Vision & Values Awards ceremony highlighted the honorees’ remarkable contributions:
- Rev. Adrian E. Dowell: Recognized for his 30 years of ministry, community service, and volunteer coaching.
- Ms. Annette Lewis: Honored for her leadership in improving the lives of families living in poverty through her work at Total Action for Progress (TAP).
- Mr. John B. Williamson, III: Celebrated for his extensive service in corporate governance, academic associations, and nonprofits, including his 24 years on the Friendship Foundation Board of Directors.
Emceed by Dick Daniels, morning show host and program director at Q99 FM, the Vision & Values Awards ceremony featured a brunch, inspiring speeches, and a video highlighting Friendship's mission and impact. Proceeds from the event will benefit Friendship's Resident Benevolence Fund, which assists seniors facing financial hardship.
