Friendship Health Promotes Brandon Evans to Executive Director of Healthcare Services
ROANOKE, Va. (November 2, 2020) – Friendship Health, a leader in skilled nursing and post-acute care, announces the promotion of Brandon Evans from administrator to executive director of healthcare services.
“Brandon has been integral at our south campus in increasing the care quality and enhancing our company culture,” said President and CEO Joe Hoff. “His strong clinical background and leadership abilities have resulted in great outcomes for Friendship. We are proud of his accomplishments and appreciate his efforts in furthering our mission of supporting friends by providing peace of mind.”
Evans joined Friendship in 2018 as administrator for Friendship Health and Rehab Center South (FHRC South). Under his leadership, FHRC South has undergone three focus surveys in which no deficiencies were noted. Due to the high quality and exceptional outcomes, FHRC South is also part of Carilion’s Preferred Network of Post-Acute Providers.
FHRC South also won the Virginia Health Care Association’s D.A. “Woody” Brown Community Involvement Award for first place for its Special Event category, as the community provided intergenerational activities in partnership with the Taubman Museum and Wasena Elementary School. Due to the success of the collaboration, the program has been expanded to include Friendship Assisted Living and Preston Park Elementary School.
With the new title comes new responsibilities. In addition to still serving as administrator for FHRC South, Evans will also oversee the operations of Salem Terrace at Harrogate, a retirement and memory care community located in Salem. Friendship currently serves as the managing partner for the senior community.
“I’m looking forward to being part of a larger organizational effort to expand and enhance the services Friendship offers to local communities,” said Evans. “As a not-for-profit we already provide services to all individuals, regardless of socio-economic status. As needs for healthcare services continue to rise, we’re focusing even more on making the greater community aware of the multitude of avenues in which we can provide support, and that we take pride in tailoring our care to best meet individual preferences.”
